About This Report

Information about data sources, coverage, updates, and contact details for your local water systems.

Data Sources

Water quality data comes from 2024 Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs), which detail 2023 water quality levels. Additional data is sourced from EPA's Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS Federal Database). Fluoridation status data is provided by the CDC's My Water's Fluoride (MWF Database).

Community Coverage

This comprehensive analysis covers all Community Water Systems serving Omaha. These systems provide water to at least 25 year-round residents through public infrastructure.

Data Updates and Reporting

Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs) are required annual reports that water systems must deliver to customers by July 1st each year, containing water quality data from the previous calendar year. Additionally, water systems submit quarterly reports to the EPA for violations, and fluoridation status information is provided by states on a voluntary basis.
